Location: Belper, Derbyshire (Hybrid Working)

Type: Temporary-Permanent or Permanent

Salary: £24,000 - £27,500 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join a team at a reputable business based in Belper, Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the payroll function, processing monthly payroll for approximately 700 staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process monthly payroll for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle payroll-related queries and discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
• Utilise Sage Payroll software to streamline payroll processes (experience with Sage Payroll is desirable).
• Maintain accurate records of employee information, deductions, and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy.
• Generate relevant reports and documents for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a payroll role.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages.
• Experience with Sage Payroll is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Arrangement:

• The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and in the office from Tuesday to Friday.
