Payroll Officer
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £30k + Excellent Benefits
Working Hours: 10.30 am - 4.00 pm (37.5 hours)
The Client:
Our client, a well-established accountancy firm with multiple offices, provides expert financial, legal, and tax advice delivering optimal solutions for clients' needs.
The Role:
As a Payroll Officer, you will contribute to routine functions, elevate service delivery and manage a portfolio of client payrolls simultaneously.
Duties:
-Manage a varied client portfolio, including smaller limited companies and those with extensive weekly/monthly payrolls.
-Offer advice on SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) & SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) to clients.
-Execute end-to-end payroll processing and address client queries.
-Review and validate all aspects of the payroll process.
-Address HMRC PAYE / NI queries.
-Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
-Upload workplace pension contributions to pension providers.
Requirements:
-Previously worked as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
-3-4 years industry payroll experience or at least 1-2 years recent practice payroll experience in a bureau
-Familiarity with Sage 50 Payroll, Brightpay, and exposure to IRIS (desirable)
-Skilled in IT skills and use of Office 365.
