Marks Sattin are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Sage software to manage and process payroll. This role involves reviewing and verifying payroll data, processing relevant taxes, deductions, and pensions.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process payroll for all employees using Sage software.
- Review and verify payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Calculate and process employee wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
- Ensure correct calculation and timely payment of relevant taxes, deductions, and pension contributions.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records and related documentation.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Proficiency in using Sage payroll software.
- Solid understanding of payroll principles, tax laws, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
