Payroll Specialist – Central London (Remote) – Between £25k and £35k

I’m working with a revolutionary Payroll Provider business that has been growing increasingly over the last few years and whose aim is to alleviate the detrimental impacts of financial stress in the workplace.

They are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic workforce to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payments, fostering trust and stability within the workforce.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for clients accurately and on time using specialized software systems.
• Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes based on employee information and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, hours worked, and other relevant data.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients and internal stakeholders as required.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and employees regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally.
• Stay updated on changes to payroll regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance.
• Assist with payroll-related audits and investigations as necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their payroll-related concerns and inquiries effectively.

The right candidate

• Proven experience working in payroll processing and administration.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in an accounting or financial services firm is desirable but not essential.
