Centric Software, Inc. is hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist to support the payroll, accounting and HR teams. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing the company international payroll, as well as associated system maintenance, reporting and compliance. Payroll specialist will oversee and manage the payroll process of international employees, provide payroll data to internal and external stakeholders, as needed. Perform audits and reconciliations of payroll data. Audit and sign-off on all semi-monthly and monthly payrolls, including international payroll providers.
This position requires strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and communicate key findings. We are looking for an exceptional team player who has a strong understanding of payroll, payroll compliance, payroll systems and strives to improve processes in collaboration with cross-functional team members to achieve scale.
This position will report to the Global Payroll Manager
Responsibilities:
- Serve as functional business owner of international payroll and time reporting systems, ensuring that systems and processes correctly compute and record time, earnings, deductions, taxes, etc.
- Process multiple monthly international payroll submissions, provide back up to semi-monthly or monthly payroll, and ensuring timely submission via payroll systems.
- Review, update and maintain payroll data, compliance, tax, records, and reporting while driving process improvement and measuring success
- Record transactions in dedicated payroll bank account
- Coordinate and process any irregular payments (e.g., sales commissions, bonus payments, etc.).
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with service providers and internal business partners, with a focus on driving efficiencies and improving levels of service.
- Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams on payroll–related interdependencies (i.e., Treasury, Finance, and Human Resources)
- Perform and review monthly payroll close duties, including the preparation/review of period-end accruals and monthly journal entries for all payroll and benefits, preparation/review of reconciliations of payroll accounts and preparation of month-end flux analysis for all payroll accounts.
- Meet all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll-related tax filings and reporting requirements
- Maintain effective internal controls and business continuity plans for all payroll procedures
- Provide excellent payroll support to all employees and cross-functional teams by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience handling multiple international and multi-state/province payroll processing specifically in EMEA and APAC
- Strongly prefer knowledge of global payroll and/or HRIS system (ex: Overseas connect, ADP, Workday)
- Experienced working with multiple software packages at the intermediate or advanced level, to include, but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and payroll processing software, NetSuite or similar ERP.
- Extensive experience working with numbers and demonstrated accuracy with data entry
- Ability to prioritize and to work to very tight deadlines
- Effective problem solver with strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to function in a highly confidential environment
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including legal, HR, tax, payroll, accounting and finance
