We are currently recruiting for a People Relations (ER) Advisor to join our People Relations team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall, the role has a flexible working location, allowing you to work from home and the office.
This is an essential role working cross-functionally to provide HR advice, support, and assistance to our Retail and non-retail teams following Company policies, procedures, and best practice.
Reporting into the People Advisor Lead, the People Advisor would be supporting HR Managers, Area Managers, Store Managers, and employees with employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance improvement and absence management.

This role comes with the ability to study for an apprenticeship.

What you'll be doing...Working as part of a team, the People Relations Advisor would be responsible for:
- Taking a high volume of calls and responding to emails from Management Teams, Union Representatives (USDAW) and colleagues
- Providing expert advice on HR policy and procedures
- Working in partnership with HR Managers to manage multiple caseloads
- Advising on all HR matters including absence, performance, grievance, disciplinary and contractual queries
- Accurately producing reports and letters
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced team environment, managing a varied workload. Previous HR experience at an advisor or administrator level with a good understanding of employment law and HR policies
- CIPD, HR Management degree or similar would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
- Excellent organisation with the ability to prioritise own workload and have excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to collate and produce reports
