Salary: £24,294 to £24,702 per annum.

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent.

Location: Chichester with hybrid working options.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (WSFRS) provides a friendly and welcoming environment, developing people, and helping them to reach their goals.

The team you will be joining, provides first-class fundamental support to departments across WSFRS.

You will maintain a customer centred service around all elements of the employee life cycle. Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Responding to manager and employee queries.
  • Giving standard information and guidance relating to the team function.
  • Supporting recruitment events.
  • Preparing contracts and letters.
  • Maintaining employee records.
  • Calculating pay and other entitlements.
  • Booking medicals.
  • Producing reports.

You will be responsible for your own areas of work and will also be expected to support other team members as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to complete tasks accurately with strong attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to manage business and employee information with confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines and objectives, balancing competing demands and priorities.
