Introduction
You will be working in the Select Committee Team (SCT), supporting the work of the House of Commons Select Committees. Select Committees are cross-party Committees of MPs who examine government policy and spending.
This post is part of SCT Communications a team of communications, digital and engagement professionals that provides a dedicated service to around 30 Select Committees.
The Role
As our Performance Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating the performance of our digital content (namely our website, social media and committee reports), developing intelligence and insights to inform strategic and real-time recommendations for improvement. You'll undertake 'deep dive' research on specific areas and engage team and committee staff through regular updates, in writing and through an analytics retrospective. You'll also support a team of digital account managers in accessing self-service analytics, including through the creation of user-friendly dashboards.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Collect and analyse key performance data for a range of digital content.
- Contribute to the strategic direction for performance monitoring and analysis on social media platforms and committees' websites.
- Seek opportunities to deliver better "value for money" for committees' outputs and increasing committees' impact and visibility.
- Establish the processes for producing and presenting post-campaign analysis to committee teams and lead on evaluation for cross-committee campaigns.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Highly proficient with data analysis, web analytics and visualisation tools, e.g. Google Analytics, Excel, Looker Studio and/or Power BI to monitor and report on data and social media trends.
- Experience in influencing change to digital services and products through using performance analytics, insight and actionable recommendations.
- Experience of forming effective working relationships with key customers, colleagues and stakeholders at all levels to inform and meet strategic objectives.
