Employment type: Part time - 24 hours per week, usually 3 x 8 hour days, but flexibility is needed with events mentioned below
Remote status:Must be London based- Remote working but with regular event attendance (occasional travel abroad may be required)
Salary: £18,000 per annum for 24 hours (equivalent to £30,000 full time)
Interviews: 3 stages totalling around 2.5 hours
Start date: ASAP - (must be available consistently between 23rd May to 2nd June)
Annual leave & benefits: 13.5 days annual leave + bank holidays (equivalent to 22 days + bank holiday full time), occasional travel abroad required and included

Our client is a prominent creator in the Youtube, Instagram and TikTok space. With a combined following of over 2.4 million, our creator focuses on making reading accessible to everyone, seamlessly closing the gap between literary content and pop culture. Notably, our client engages in collaborations with esteemed brands like Netflix, Valentino, Audible, and many more.
Where you come in
We are seeking a highly organised and resourceful individual to assist a prominent creator in overseeing, capturing, and researching for their content creation across various platforms. The Personal and Content Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting scheduling and organisation, ensuring the efficient and timely management of projects, content production, appearances and related tasks. This role also involves attending events alongside the creator, with occasional travel opportunities as required.
Personal Assistance
- Manage administrative tasks with book publishers - including but not limited to reaching out to NetGalley and publishers for proofs, forwarding and editing positive reviews into concise clips
- Prepare for events and presenting jobs - including but not limited to being highly proactive, collecting necessary information in advance, and ensuring the seamless execution of the day
- Support with personal scheduling, diary management, meetings and commitments
Social Media & Content
- Attend events to capture content on an iPhone - clip, edit & caption on iMovie/Capcut (or something similar) and upload to socials in a timely manner
- Support with logistical side of content creation, such as diarising/guest liaison for guest-led interviews
- Taking Instagram/TikTok content of the creator on an adhoc basis
- Generating ideas for YouTube/TikTok videos, with a focus on staying updated on trends within the BookTok community
- Conduct research and offer suggestions for books that would serve as valuable content
- Create lists of potential reading recommendations through strategic, trend-led research

Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with current pop culture and trends
- Willing to attend events and travel internationally when required, including attending late-night occasions such as premieres and launch events
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Highly proactive and can anticipate and address potential obstacles
- Strong project management experience
- Highly flexible and receptive to sudden changes, adapting readily to the dynamic nature of the role and unexpected opportunities
- Open to acquiring knowledge about BookTok and BookTube, staying current with trends and viral content
- Professionalism and respect for privacy when handling information
- Tech-savvy and capable of small editing tasks on platforms such as iMovie or Capcut is desirable (however this can be taught)
- Some awareness of the publishing industry would be a plus but not essential
