Job Title: Personal Assistant
Location: Abingdon Community Hospital, Marcham Road, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 1AG
(3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Act as first point of contact for all communications to the Heads of Service and deal with all such communications appropriately, including exchange of sensitive information.
- Respond to all queries, correspondence and telephone calls coming into the office in a timely and professional manner. Initiate action where possible and report progress as appropriate.
- Receive and screen all incoming mail, obtaining any relevant background information. On behalf of the Heads of Service prepare/commission draft responses as necessary, identifying appropriate action or referral.
- Manage incoming emails, ensuring briefings and follow up actions take place and deadlines met.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- Substantial experience working as a PA/secretary at Director or senior manager level.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office with excellent keyboard skills.
- Previous NHS experience (desirable)
This role may require you to show evidence of education at Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
