Personal Assistant (Part-Time) for Visually Impaired Social Worker
Location: Newcastle and South Tyneside
Salary: 15 per hour, additional compensation for travel time

We are seeking two part-time PAs to support a visually impaired social worker in their daily tasks, which require sight assistance. If you are a compassionate and dedicated individual with a full UK driving license, we would like to hear from you.
Job Description
As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting a visually impaired social worker. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving the employer to and from work using their car
- Accompanying the employer to appointments
- Taking notes and general administrative tasks
- Updating computer records
- Additional hours to cover travel time to and from work
Job Details
- Part-time position (2 or 3 days per week, to be discussed at the interview)
- Rate: 15 per hour, with additional compensation for travel time
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check required, to be conducted upon job offer
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the position, you should
- Be a female candidate (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 - 4)
- Hold a full UK driving license
- Be a non-smoker
- Be a punctual and trustworthy individual
- Have a friendly and compassionate personality
- Demonstrate the ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Show initiative and be able to work independently and responsibly
- Possess a good standard of education
- Commit to providing at least one month's notice before leaving the position, except in extreme circumstances
- Have an affinity for dogs
Training
While no formal qualifications are required, practical training and guidance will be provided as needed. Most of the tasks and assistance can be learned through collaboration between the Personal Assistant and the employer.
