What you'll get to work on
As a Personal Assistant you will provide a highly professional and comprehensive support service to the Director of our West Midlands Gas Network. Supporting with general administrative duties to the Director and wider team, including co-ordinating travel arrangements, arranging events/meetings. You'll represent the Director when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, providing a counsel to the Director and act as an intermediary to ensure they have a link with employees at all levels. The ability to adopt to change and work in a flexible manner is essential.

- Provide general administrative support to the Director (e.g. organise and summarise papers and reports in preparation for meetings)
- Undertake full diary management
- Manage requests to the Director (mail, calls, visits and others) by drafting responses and redirecting as appropriate to ensure the Directors time is managed to best effect
- Co-ordinate full and complex travel and itinerary arrangements
- Co-ordinate and arrange events on behalf of the Director
- Provide ad-hoc diary management support for other Directors, as required
Who are we looking for
- Excellent IS skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Access and SAP
- Excellent written English/letter writing skills and high attention to detail
- A good standard of education is required, including GCSE to include Maths and English
- Successful track record in providing an efficient and comprehensive PA/Secretarial service to Senior Managers
- Experience of liaising with senior members of staff both internally and externally
- Ability to deal with tight timescales and deal diplomatically with confidential material
