Personal Assistant

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Support Assistant for an initial 8 month contract, on a rate of £16.12 per hour PAYE. This hybrid role will be predominantly office based in Edinburgh, with some working from home.Responsibilities:- Support the Inquiry Secretary by providing a secretariat function; managing the Inquiry meeting schedule, seeking input for & creating and sharing agendas, taking a note of minutes & ensuring issues not dealt with are discussed at subsequent meetings - Organising and providing hospitality for the hearing room and witnesses ensuring set up/clear up is completed at the start and end of the day. - Research tasks, such as identifying cost effective stock options for future hearings and keeping an eye on when these need to be ordered if we are running low. - Dealing with external suppliers as necessary to facilitate the smooth running of hearings - Booking of travel and accommodation.- Provision of front of house function on hearing days, dealing with Legal Representatives, Members of the public & Witnesses. This will include being in the office for around 8.30/9am in advance of the reception desk opening. - Management of public access ticketing arrangements for hearings - Organising and managing passes for visitors, media, lawyers, and family members - Providing ad hoc support to the Secretary, Counsel and other senior staff - Possible Business Management support tasks if requiredIf you would like to hear more about these opportunities, please get in touch.
