About the role
I am a 4-year-old boy who lives with my mum, dad, and older brother. I have autism, global development delay, sleep, and diet difficulties, with challenging behaviours. I am a happy boy who loves playing outside and walking.
I would like to find someone who can support me to enjoy day-to-day activities and to keep me safe. I have a specialised pushchair and wear a harness when I am out. You will be friendly and respectful, experience with Autism, knowledge or experience in the use of Makaton would be beneficial, a good listener and communication skills.
General duties and responsibilities will include:
- personal care
- support at mealtimes
- daily activities: walking, parks, playing, etc.
- interactive play
- encouraging me to try new things.
Essential:
- excellent communication skills
- excellent organisational skills
- experience of working with children
- someone who is fit and able to keep up with an active 4 year old
- honest, reliable, trustworthy and friendly.

The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required for this position if successful. The Post is subject to a 3-month probation period and you will be required to provide details of two referees, one of which must be their current or most recent employer.
