A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our client for a Policy & Strategy Project Officer to join their Operations Team.
The Role:
To provide thorough and efficient research, policy and strategy development support throughout the business to ensure effective management and provide guidance to colleagues on best practice.
To support the policy integration programme to ensure that all relevant legacy Rosebery policy is aligned with Peabody Group policy.
To support the business to understand developments in public policy, interpreting the impacts for the organisation, and supporting to respond to external policy change.

Key Activities:
Direct and support colleagues throughout the business in the operations, development, and corporate services directorates with policy and strategy development.
Where required, write policy and strategy documents from scratch and with little or no pre-existing expertise about the subject matter.
Manage policy and Strategy Projects including the drafting and design process with executive management team, leadership team and colleagues as needed.
Keep abreast of sector and regulatory changes to inform suggestions to the organisation about changes to strategy and policy.
Key Tasks:
Become familiar with and keep up to date with relevant their policies, procedures and associated housing sector legislation and regulatory requirements, to inform research and influence policy and strategy development.
Use research findings to develop and improve their policies and strategies.
Establish and maintain a corporate record/library of policy and strategy documentation.
Support policy and corporate strategy integration by developing policy integration systems and tools, analysing policy gaps, liaising with stakeholders and updating policies and strategies.
Work closely with the public relations and communications team to develop internal and external communications to promote engagement with policy and research objectives.
Provide research, policy, strategy and implementation support on a range of projects throughout the organisation.

The role may require travel to various sites across theirhousing stock and it would be useful if the post holder has a full driving licence and access to a car.
Take responsibility for recognising and recording customer complaints, however made and ensure any complaints allocated to you are responded to within policy requirements.
Education and Qualifications:
Graduate level role or equivalent considerable experience
CIH qualification or willingness to work towards this
Experience of leading strategy and policy development with senior colleagues
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience of planning and delivering successful research projects
Experience of producing detailed and relevant reports
IT literate; with good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes
Time management skills and ability to prioritise a range of tasks
Understanding and sensitivity to confidentiality and data protection
Understanding of social housing and of working with diverse communities
Experience of gathering a range of data using a variety of research methods, sometimes involving telephone, on-line and face to face contact with research participants
Behaviours and Skills:
Good communication skills with both verbal and written communication of a consistently high standard
Able to communicate effectively with a range of people, adapting style and approach accordingly
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
