Title: Presentation Specialist

Salary: £35,000 plus 15% shift allowance (£40,250 total) per annum

Location: Merrill Lynch Financial Centre, 2 King Edward St, London, EC1A 1HQ

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract, full time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Monday through Friday from 16:00 - 00:00

Work model: Onsite

Interview Process:

Assessment: 3-hour test on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint taken onsite.

Interview: 60-minute in-person or video interview with the Account Manager and Presentations Shift Manager

Williams Lea seeks a Presentation Specialist to join our team!

Purpose of the role

As a Presentation Specialist you are proficient in Microsoft Office with very strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. You have also mastered Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat. The ideal candidate has a creative skillset and experience producing presentations within banking or another corporate environment.

This role requires you to work as part of a team liaising closely with clients to produce presentations materials. You will have the opportunity to own and take responsibility for your work in accordance with the template and corporate guidelines. You will accountable for document management within time and quality parameters, handling customer queries relating to these documents. You will also coordinate with the Workflow Coordinator on a regular basis to give updates on workflow, deadlines and issues so that the client’s requirements can be effectively managed. This position provides the opportunity to develop effective working relationships with clients and colleagues to promote a strong working team.

Key responsibilities

  • To complete amendments to and create documents as requested by clients using the Bank’s template and Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance Presentations with design elements
  • To take ownership for the quality of your work and the associated deadlines
  • To use Symphony for job related duties accurately and effectively
  • To accurately estimate the production time and liaise with Workflow Coordinators to ensure deadline adherence
  • To share knowledge and encourage a supportive team culture
  • Taking a pro-active approach to attendance and time management
  • Ensuring adherence of objectives and contractual obligations (Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators)
  • Attend to the front desk area in the absence of the Workflow Coordinator
  • To quality check a sample of work produced and record findings on relevant systems
  • To act in a professional and consultative manner to all clients and colleagues
  • To ensure a clear and comprehensive handover for any incoming staff

General tasks

  • Accurate and timely production of all Presentations materials
  • Ensure all work is quality checked before being returned to the client
  • Ensure complete submission of work to be randomly quality checked
  • Adherence of department policies and procedures
  • Reporting of any issues to relevant parties

Key Skills

  • The candidate must have advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A working knowledge of graphics production and applications (creative cloud)
  • Experience working in a corporate culture
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative
  • A good eye for design/layout
  • Self motivated, ability to think on the spot
  • Continual improvement mentality, open and receptive to feedback
  • Strong service mentality, commitment to service excellence is essential
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexible attitude
  • Should be a quick learner, able to pick up skills relevant to the service needs
  • Determination to achieve results and being prepared to put in extra effort when required
  • Accountability for own results
  • Exposure to a shift environment would be beneficial
  • Ad hoc requests from Williams Lea or the Client
