PROCESS OPERATOR
WIDNES, UK
As part of its continued expansion, Evove is seeking a highly capable Process Operator to join our dynamic and innovative team. Based at our facilities in Widnes, the successful applicant will be working collaboratively with team members and industrial partners to commercialise advanced membrane and resin separation technology, used for water treatment and direct lithium extraction all around the world.
The Process Operator will be experienced in supporting on project delivery, specifically focused on pilot demonstration of more mature technologies, but will also be involved in technology development from scale-up to commercialisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their allocated projects to ensure technical delivery against defined KPI’s.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Process Operation:
- Develop an understanding of the process to configure equipment and follow defined work plans
- Complete studies at our facilities in preparation for pilot demonstration of Evove’s technology
- Participate in trials on customer premises, working with external stakeholders to deliver success whilst maintaining high levels of safety
- Build a rapport with customers and staff to ensure appropriate trials are undertaken
- Collect data and record findings from validation trials accurately with a high attention to detail
- Prepare and handle samples and ensure they are properly labelled and stored
- Undertake quality control of incoming raw materials and quality assurance of outgoing products
- Adhere to site safety practices and operate in a safe manner
- Collaborate with line manager and scientists to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Equipment Commissioning & Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Support the commissioning of new test equipment at our facilities and in the field
- Develop robust testing protocols and SOPs, which are well understood and repeatable
- Coordinate with service technicians for more extensive repairs and maintenance
Safety and Compliance:
- Comply with manual handling and chemical handling regulations
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations and those on client’s sites
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Candidate requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following skills, behaviours and experience:
- BSc in a science or engineering related subject or at least 2 years experience working within the water services sector or an industrial process environment
- A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop skills
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and experience carrying out COSHH and Risk Assessments
- Awareness of lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to prioritise workload supporting multiple projects at once
- Dedicated individual with the drive to ensure success
- Ability to work a range of shift patterns as our facilities increase operating hours
- Comfortable with global travel and prolonged stays on site to perform pilot demonstrations
Benefits:
- Salary of £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience
- Hourly rate of £12.82-£15.39 (plus paid travel time and overtime)

The position is open immediately and located at the company’s new premises in Widnes, Cheshire, UK. It is essential that applicants have the right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory background checks including a basic DBS check.
