SALARY: £73,262 - £86,190
LOCATION(S): Leeds
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Leeds office
About this opportunity
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen to join Group Corporate Treasury as the Product Owner for Regulatory Reporting and RWA at a pivotal time during our Platform transformation. With the customer at the heart, and transformative influence, you’ll collaborate across the business to ensure alignment of our platform product vision to the objectives of group wide stakeholders.
This role sits within the Balance Sheet and Regulatory Reporting lab. Our purpose is to deliver the regulatory and transformational capability uplift across various products which includes Capital Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Asset Encumbrance, Regulatory Reporting and RWAs, Funds transfer Pricing and Interest Rate Banking Book Risk.
This specific role will sit within the Regulatory Reporting and RWA Feature Team whose purpose is to support the RWAs and the Capital Reporting teams to achieve business delivery goals to enhance the Groups capability and meet regulatory requirements of the BOE and PRA.
Day to day you’ll be;
- Leading improvements on product development processes and delivery using new methodology, techniques, tools, etc. Shaping the direction for cross-functional teams to deliver products in innovative delivery methods.
- Promoting the value of customer outcomes with team and peers, ensuring work efforts achieve these. Anticipating customer’s needs and using customer input and steer to present targeted, integrated, and outcome-focused solutions aligned to our Group Strategy.
- Reg Reporting and RWA Product Ownership - Taking ownership of a backlog supported by multiple teams. Delivering simple and complex tech changes to a product and being responsible for its success/failure.
- Supervising work across the relevant teams and ensuring the right tools and processes are implemented
- Applying experience in cultural change initiatives to support various agendas in the Bank (e.g., feedback culture). Understanding the main barriers to changing culture and the criticality of leadership consensus.
- Observing and using active listening and empathy to connect with people, without judging and being self-focused. Providing clear, relevant, constructive and motivating advice which is future focused. Coaching to go faster by demonstrating commitment to create an environment that builds teams with skills aligned to our Group Strategy and Purpose.

What you’ll need
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of prudential Regulatory Reporting.
- Experience in Treasury processes and change within a corporate or financial institution.
- A positive record of leading and handling change initiatives, within an agile environment.
- Collaboration, communication, presentation, team skills, with the ability to influence and across all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of Treasury’s purpose and the financial risks it manages with a particular focus on capital and RWAs.
