The Role
- Working closely with planners, suppliers, production, goods in and technical.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks within the production department, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, such as inventory levels, production schedules, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in coordinating production schedules and workflows to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Communicate effectively with production staff to relay information regarding schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Assist in maintaining quality standards by participating in quality control checks and inspections.
- Document and report any quality issues or deviations from standards to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal inquiries and external vendors or suppliers related to production activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the production department.
- Propose and implement solutions to streamline administrative workflows and enhance productivity.
About You
- Proven experience in an administrative role, within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems or production management software is preferred.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
