You will be joining a global leading company that designs and manufactures technology for industrial applications. This company is renowned for its high quality and precision of products. You will be joining a medium-sized team that is undergoing expansion.
Your new roleThis is a very dynamic role that will see you providing an effective service to manufacturing on production and handling methods. You will do this by designing jigs, fixtures and tooling equipment as well as helping train and assist engineers. This is a varied role where no day will be the same. Other responsibilities you will have include amending programmes for CNC machines using CAM systems and lead the introduction of new machine tools.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Determine all manufacturing methods of new products together with the individual operational standard time.
• Produce and amend programs for all CNC machines using CAM systems and produce associated set-up sheets and tooling lists.
• Examine new machine tools, cutting tools and associated media and processes through journals, visiting other users and attending exhibitions.
• Investigate and prepare justification for capital equipment.
• Select and co-ordination of suitable subcontract sources, with accountability for quality, price and delivery.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling equipment necessary for production.

This is just a summed-up list of responsibility and other duties will be required.
Skills and Experience required:

• Working to engineering drawings
• Demonstrable experience of process planning products through the manufacturing processes
• HNC in Production Engineering or similar
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of metal cutting, turning, and milling/drilling.
• Competent in programming CNC machine tools, using CAM.
