Form of workDue to our clients sustained and rapid expansion of the Powder Metallurgy industry. This is driven in part by the new technology of Additive Manufacturing (3D metal printing) which is rapidly displacing other metal forming technologies, they are now looking to recruit an experienced, mechanically biased Production Manager to manage their systems manufacturing shop floor area by creating a disciplined methodical approach in the production, installation, and commissioning of large capital projects in metal processing equipment.
The successful applicant will be part of the Companies Senior Management team and their duties and responsibilities will be:
- Provide daily management of the production team, production control and systems build engineering from project concept through to customer commissioning.
- Will confer concisely with other senior management team members on project status and defined objectives.
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply safe engineering practices within the production area including managerial responsibility of shopfloor health and safety system.
- Work closely with Engineering Design and Procurement team in reviewing design, cost, processes, and practices.
- Recruit and develop a small team of System Engineers (Mechanical and Electrical) with a positive ‘can do’ attitude delivering large CAPEX systems according to agreed delivery / completion date time schedules.
- Be responsible for facility security and building infrastructure.
- Requirement to travel overseas as and when required.
