Production Manager

Opus Vitae is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a prestigious multi national company with a facility in Coventry.
We are seeking a Production Manager to manage and continually develop the production teams in the achievement of functional objectives that support the Site/Plant and Company Business Plan. Working closely with the engineering, service and logistics teams to continuously improve site overall effectiveness ensuring utilization of production facilities, people development and a lean culture.
There is currently a choice between the AM(6-2pm) and PM(2-10pm) shift.
What you could be doing
Ensuring that the company's vision, values and policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Running continuous improvement discussions/forums and quality circles to investigate and analyse all production related issues and to ensure ongoing continuous improvement.
Generating and analysing reports/KPIs, making recommendations on trends, improvements and corrective actions to achieve and enhance operational excellence.
Effectively planning, organising and coordinating resources to meet the production requirements of laundering all pieces on time in full (OTIF) and to the specifications within the client contracts.
Developing, proposing and agreeing functional budgets with the General Manager, monitoring, managing and controlling all activities in accordance with the agreed functional budget, investigating and resolving any variances.
Leading, managing and developing all employees (including SOM, absence, performance management, grievances and Health and Safety Training) using SMART objectives during regular review and feedback meetings.
What you have been doing
Leading within a lean manufacturing/process industry
Implementing continuous improvement programs
Proven track record of succeeding within production, supply chain and /or service management
Qualified in Six Sigma methodologies (desirable)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 13485, LSAS & MDD93/42/EEC (IHSS, Clinical Solutions) (desirable)
Financial knowledge covering budgeting forecasting.
