WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a fantastic opportunity were you will be in a leadership role within the software release community. Through owning the tooling product(s) for releasing SW in JLR, you will have a pivotal role in driving improvements to the way JLR releases software.
Liaising with a wide set of stakeholders you will be responsible for identifying the needs both in terms of the users, adjacent project owners in the SDLC and regulatory requirements. These will be captured, refined and prioritised to maximise value of the implementation squad so as to delivery incremental business value for each sprint period using Agile techniques. In addition you'll need the vision to create a product roadmap which not only provides continual incremental
In this role, you will be working with the newest tehnologies, helping you achieve your goals effeciently and timely. As well as a supportive knowledgeble team of Product Owners.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
• You will be elcitining requirements from stakeholders to improve Software Development Process within JLR and identify features needed
• Providing leadership on Release Management vision and roadmap across a wde set of stakeholders
• Create and maintain a prioritised backlog of changes needed for delivery team(s) ensuring business value deliverables within the Agile framework
• Refine the backlog to a resolution where delivery teams can engage and produce solutions
• Showcase delivery increments and seek stakeholder validation to realisie the incremental value
• Manage performance of team members as a shared responsibility with Technical Discipline Heads
• Maximise the business value delivered by the delivery teams(s)
• Manage the costs of the products with regards to development and ongoing commitments
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• You will need to have a track record of successful delivery of large complex software projects through the use of Agile techniques
• Demonstratable experience in SW Release Management, dependency and deployment management.
• Proven ability to build high performing software development teams
• Accomplished leadership ability to express and drive a roadmap of continual product improvement
• Experience in performance management and maximising team performance
• We will want you to have a high level of experience and Skills in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within an automotive environment.
• You will be able to communicate with excellence to business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Critically review solutions and designs and act as the voice of the customer
• Ability in cost management and forecasting
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate at all levels
• Degree in Software Engineering
