An established Manufacturing company based in the Heads of the Valleys area who have been operating for over 40 years are offering a fantastic career opportunity for a highly skilled and committed Team Leader to join our company running a small team of production operators. The ideal candidate should possess management experience in a high-volume, short lead times, production environment.
Basic Salary: £31,657.60
Hours of Work: Mon - Thurs 6.00am - 4.30pm
Responsibilities:
Take overall responsibility for the production of all manufactured items within the department.
Ensure all team members understand performance expectations and meet their set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Organise, control, and monitor the production flow while ensuring consistent quality.
Ensuring customer specifications are followed at all times.
Maintain quality control standards and procedures, promptly addressing any issues.
Manage production schedules.
Ensuring that the team follow correct PPE procedures at all times.
Oversee stock management and reordering.
Ensure housekeeping routines are maintained and adherence to 5S principles by team members.
Foster strong communication within the team and other departments, encouraging open sharing of ideas and suggestions for improvement.
Participate in, and conduct daily & weekly team meetings.
Required Experience/Skills:
Previous experience in managing a Production Team.
Analytical approach to reviewing work practices and equipment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Team building abilities.
Effective communication skills across all organisational levels.
Proactive and capable of responding swiftly to changing situations.
Perform well under pressure.
Ability to manage change.
Collaborative approach to working with teams and other departments.
Good judgement and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
