The role
As a Programme Delivery Manager in our Group Capital Delivery Department, you will be leading a professional team that delivers the Capital programme at Stansted Airport. Our portfolio of current and future projects offers a fantastic opportunity for a career in a fast moving and exciting environment.
Our projects extend across all key areas of our business and your focus will be against projects in the areas of Airside, Landside and within the Terminal. Our Capital programme has a forecast capital investment for FY24 in the region of £82m with a similar forecast into the coming years.
With a focus on HSE and a commitment to delivering on time, on budget and to a high standard, you will be accountable for the delivery of projects within your own Programme or Works from an ‘airport as the customer’ approach with minimal disruption to Airport Operations. You must have proven and successful experience of delivering complex projects in a live environment from development through to handover.
Your involvement can make a real difference to our business making it a better place for our staff, passengers and all other stakeholders to enjoy. You will lead your own direct team reports and others through effective management and development to contribute to the creation of team success.
Due to the Group wide nature of some projects, travel between East Midlands Airport and Manchester Airport may on occasion be required.
What will make you successful in the role?
- You will be an experienced leader, with a university degree and Chartered status (desired) in a relevant discipline with a project management qualification (or equivalent).
- You will understand the process needed to deliver successful programmes and have experience managing 3rd party approvals.
- Strong stakeholder management skills are essential to build successful relationships with your own direct reports and key internal and external stakeholders.
- An excellent working knowledge of CDM & H&S in construction and the airport environment is vital to this role along with working knowledge and experience of NEC contracts.
