A great opportunity has arisen in our Delivery Portfolio Management Team to lead the delivery of our Capital Investment Programme, worth circa £3bn over the AMP7 period. The role will require you to work closely with our world class strategic alliances to ensure you successfully deliver several our key portfolios either across Water or Water Recycling areas.
We are looking for a truly exceptional candidate who can demonstrate they can work at a strategic level by optimising the organisation's capability and capacity to ensure the portfolio can be delivered, whilst being able to have excellent attention to detail and ensure interventions are made where appropriate at a detailed project level to drive the right outcomes for our business.
This is a senior role, and you will be accountable for the efficient delivery of these portfolios of work on behalf of Anglian Water. The role also acts as the chair of the monthly Portfolio Board which holds delegated authority on behalf of Anglian Water's main investment body to ensure we deliver value for money and exceptional levels of customer service.

What does it take to be a Programme Manager?
Educated to a minimum of degree level in a related subject, engineering, construction management, quantity surveying
Previous experience in a senior leadership role with demonstrable experience leading and delivering in a complex project or programme environment (Construction preferred)
Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills
Understanding and execution of NEC ( NEC Accreditation preferred)
Understanding of CDM Regulations specifically client duties
Able to think creatively and solve projects, not afraid to challenge traditional ways of thinking in delivery
Ability to work collaboratively with different people and levels across the organisation to get the best outcome for the business
Risk and Issue management qualification, with a willingness to take ownership of programme or portfolio level mitigation strategies
Ability to shape your own workload, setting your own standards and delivering against your own criteria/objectives
A broad understanding of our industry or have worked in a similar industry ie: utilities, rail, nuclear
Excellent communication skills along with the ability to influence stakeholders and build confidence in your delivery
