Are you a creative person who loves working with communities and connecting people and places? Our Programming and Partnerships Officer plays an important role in helping everyone to feel welcome when they visit Sheffield Park, and making sure they get the most out of their day.

Our team consists of events and programming planning, marketing, volunteering, our friendly welcome team, all of whom love to celebrate other’s success and support each other. We collaborate consistently with other departments on site, and the whole property works to high standards together. Together with your team, you’ll be devising and running a programme of events and activities with partnerships at their heart.
You’ll be focussed on building local partnerships with community groups, and you’ll lead on activities that are being run by these partner organisations.
As well as planning and organising a programme of events and exhibitions to run in all the places covered by your role, you’ll be linking these events to the places themselves to make sure they’re both relevant and appealing to people.
You'll be responsible for some budgets and will be supervising volunteers.
We'd love to hear from you if you’re:
- experienced in planning and running programmes, events and activities, and working with community partners.
- familiar with audiences in the areas of heritage, culture, arts and the natural environment
- used to running partner-led projects within the heritage and arts sectors
- creatively minded, able to think of new ideas or solutions to bring Sheffield Park and it’s spirit to life.
- able to measure and assess results, as well as gather and evaluate feedback to improve our visitor offer
- someone who puts people first, and understands what’s needed for everyone to receive great customer service
- flexible and happy to work with different teams and partners, build meaningful relationships, and to go wherever you’re needed to balance the workload of your team
