Procurement Heads have been retained to support our existing customer with the recruitment of a Project Manager within the healthcare sector. Our client is a leading provider of innovative value-chain solutions that improve patient safety, reduce costs, and eliminate waste across the healthcare sector. Working directly with the Senior Manager for UK & Ireland Operations, you will have day to day responsibility to facilitate, co-ordinate and lead projects with the Customer Project Lead and Sponsors, providing feedback and making recommendations for process improvement. You’ll be dealing with multiple stakeholders both virtually and on site across the UK therefore you’ll need to be prepared to travel twice per week across UK sites. About the role Responsibilities of your role will include taking ownership of multiple complex projects. This will involve ensuring projects are delivered on time, and within scope of budget. You’ll also be looking out for areas of improvement and identifying new commercial business opportunities which will be done through workflow analysis, inventory control, and risk management. You’ll be working with customers to ensure delivery expectations of the project are clear and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders. As the Project Manager, you’ll utilise best industry practices, techniques, and standards to efficiently manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, and the overall project execution. About you You’ll be joining a result orientated environment and will be required to work collaboratively across the growing team. As a key stakeholder to multiple customers, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to engage cross function ensuring smooth execution of projects that are both timely and cost efficient. Your technical skills will need to extend to ideally a professional qualification in Project Management (PRINCE 2 or PMP) and at least 3 years’ experience in a project management role. At interview, you’ll be expected to evidence experience of managing complex projects and preparation of high-quality reports on complex issues through a series of competency-based questions. Experience of working across the NHS/Private Healthcare supply chain, inventory and clinical items will be advantageous.
