Project/Document Controller

Hybrid / Blackfriars

Up to £38,000 DOE plus great benefit package!

Our client, a leading organisation in the industry, is seeking a skilled Project/Document Controller to join their team. As a Project/Document Controller, you will be responsible for the management of all outgoing and incoming project documentation throughout the life of a project or a group of projects. Your role will include reviewing client document management systems, creating appropriate numbering systems, managing and filing project information, and ensuring all documentation meets quality standards. Additionally, you will be involved in delivering information to clients, managing document revisions, and assisting with project handover.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent software skills, a strong ability to work in teams, and effective communication skills. As a deadline-focused individual, you should also be adaptable and reactive to changing project requirements. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Electronic Document Management Systems is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain client document management systems and quality standards.
  • Manage and file project information in an accessible and organised manner.
  • Create document and drawing numbers as requested by the project team.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on outgoing information to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Deliver project information to clients and other design team members.
  • Maintain a log of all submitted information for traceability and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate external printing and delivery of hard copies.
  • Upload and manage mark-up versions of documentation.
  • Assist with documentation searches and provide necessary information for project handover.
  • Properly archive project documentation and update the archive register.
