Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Data and Systems Lead to join the Asset Management team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Senior Asset Management Support Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of Asset Management records and data to support in day-to-day work and strategic decision making. You will also be responsible for delivering the registration programme of Council property with the Land Registry in conjunction with Legal Services.
About the role
As a Data and Systems Lead, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Picking up and completing the programme of checking and cleansing of property data following the merger of former district and county councils and dealing with queries in relation to this data
- Supporting the mobilisation of the new Property and Asset Management contract by identifying and sharing relevant property-related data and documentation with our Service Provider
- Supporting the Council's annual valuation programme by providing property-related documentation to our external valuation team
- Supporting the Council's response to the audits of the Council's accounts by providing property-related documentation to the Corporate Finance Team
- Producing statistical data reports in relation to property holding and legal transactions
- Responding to enquiries relating to land and property ownership and providing transaction documentation when requested
This is a temporary position for three months with the potential to extend or become permanent. The pay rate is 16.90 per hour PAYE, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week. This post allows for hybrid working with two days in the office, or fully office based if preferred.
The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP19 8FF) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.
About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
- Previous experience in a commercial property environment is essential, ideally in a Local Authority Asset Management setting.
- Excellent knowledge of title documentation and leases. Ability to extract and interpret relevant information from legal documents to populate databases accurately.
- Advanced skills in data manipulation in Microsoft Excel in order to prepare datasets for analysis/management reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, demonstrating how this lends to identifying and solving problems.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:30pm
