Job Title: Central London Contract Director - Property & Asset Management
JLL Division: Property and Asset Management (PAM)
Reporting To: C0-Heads of Central London PAM
Central London Matrix reports: Property Managers, Surveyors, and Support Staff
Overview: As the Central London Contract Director for Property & Asset Management at JLL, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of a number of clients across Central London. With a portfolio encompassing 20 million sqft of diverse buildings, including prominent assets such as 40 Leadenhall, 22 Bishopsgate, 78 St James, and London Bridge City, your focus will be on delivering exceptional service to our clients and their customers. You will lead a team dedicated to providing market-leading Property Management services, incorporating the latest market trends in ESG and technology.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Ensure the operational performance of the Property Management team meets and exceeds client expectations across the portfolio of properties.
Act as the main point of contact and ambassador for clients, aligning their interests and culture with JLL's and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients to better understand their needs and provide a high standard of service.
Oversee the implementation of ESG/sustainability initiatives in line with the strategic ambitions of both JLL and our clients.
Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to ensure exemplary site operations and high-quality service delivery from third-party service providers.
Drive a customer-centric approach to operational management, working closely with the Customer Experience (CX) Lead to develop and implement a sector-wide customer experience strategy.
Foster collaboration with colleagues and peers across the portfolio, leveraging their expertise and resources to drive performance improvement.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality service delivery and manage stakeholders' expectations.
Identify and capitalize on asset management and value-add opportunities across the portfolio.
Coordinate with the Design for Management team during the transition from development to operational use, ensuring the smooth onboarding of occupiers and adherence to operational excellence standards.
Manage the occupier "landing" experience, including early engagement in fit-out programs and resolution of queries.
Collaborate with the Design for Management team for additional support or expertise as required.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Commercially astute with previous experience managing high-quality Central London assets.
Demonstrated leadership skills and emotional intelligence in leading multidisciplinary, high-performing teams.
Capable decision-maker with a proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge and experience in property mobilisation, preferably with premium assets.
Risk management experience, operating within a regulated environment and effectively managing risk.
Sound understanding of property, facilities, and estate management sector, with expertise in landlord and occupier relations, asset management, leasing, and Property Management.
Ability to handle complex and varied workloads in challenging situations.
Strong property and surveying knowledge, including legislation relating to Property Management and service charge management.
Excellent influencing and change management skills.
Highly motivated self-starter with a drive to achieve results.
Approachable, empathetic, diplomatic, and a good listener.
Good networking and stakeholder management skills.
