SalaryAdecco Crewe are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a well established organisation in Nantwich. This role is designed to oversee the registration, approval and payment of invoices.
The Purchase Ledger Assistant will be responsible for managing incoming invoices and accurately registering them into the internal system so they can be easily accessed. The successful candidate will develop excellent working relationships with suppliers and will be required to set up and maintain new supplier accounts.
They will also prepare and check supplier BACS payments in line with the company payment schedule & prepare and check bankline payments for invoices in foreign currencies at their due date. In addition, they will provide cover for the daily bank drawdown.
They will be the first point of contact for any employee expense queries and manage manual expense and mileage claims. They must check the accuracy of submitted claims before registration and payment.
Lastly, the successful candidate will be required to efficiently manage petty cash and prepare monthly journals. They will complete company credit card reviews while ensuring that all spend is within the company's policy with all receipts matched and fully approved.
About you:
- Ideally previous Purchase Ledger experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proficient MS Office package user: especially MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Methodological and logical approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A polite, approachable and professional manner
- Someone with a willingness to learn
