Robert Walters are partnered with a thriving business in Chester as they seek to recruit a Purchase Ledger Assistant. This role takes responsibility for managing the companies Purchase Ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and maintaining seamless operations
Key Responsibilities
* Process and verify invoices with correct coding
* Maintain and reconcile the Purchase Ledger to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Deal with queries and resolve any discrepancies
* Process and monitor employee expense reports (VCC), ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Payment runs.
* Assist in month-end closing activities related to the Purchase Ledger.
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Ensure that departmental processes and procedures are adhered to.
* Adhere to HR Policies and Procedures.
* Responsibility for safeguarding clients' and colleagues' personal information.
Key Requirements
* AAT Level 3 qualified or relevant experience.
* Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger or accounts payable role.
* Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Familiarity with international payment processes.
* Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
* Positive and proactive personality
