The Data Analyst will play a key role using data to provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making within an organisation. Data Analysts play a crucial role in interpreting, reconciling and analysing complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies, and presenting meaningful information to stakeholders.
Reporting to the Systems Accountant, sat within the Finance department under the Financial controller and Finance Director.
This will involve looking after the quality, delivery and visibility of the data through ownership of system alignment, reporting architecture and profile management.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyse data from various sources to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in datasets.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions and provide actionable insights.
- Interpret and communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with external data engineers to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new analytical tools.
- Owner of logins, profiles and access rights to protect data confidentiality.
- Manage and troubleshoot end user connection requirements.
- Act as primary contact for day to day queries
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a business or analytics role.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like SQL, Excel, or Python/R.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Knowledge of Financial Systems desirable

Benefits
Salary - Depending on experience
Up to 30k for Junior / circa 40k for experienced
Hours - 8 to 4.30 (Mon - Thurs) 8 to 2.30 (Fri)
Holidays - 25 days plus Bank holidays
