Support the buyers with the smooth and efficient procurement process of materials, goods, equipment and services in accordance with approved procedures. Optimise processes and procedures, maintaining accurate records, facilitating communications between various internal departments and suppliers/vendors and regular reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, processing and tracking of purchase orders ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Order processing from internal purchasing system(s)
- Coordinate with suppliers tracking order status, resolving issues effectively
- Maintain stores stock ordering, stock allocation to individuals and logging of issued equipment/materials
- Effectively manage order and delivery queries to satisfactory outcome
- Maintain accurate documentation of contracts/supplier agreements
- Management of the authorized vendor list including assistance with onboarding new suppliers
- Deal with invoice queries
- Close collaboration with Project Teams
- Generate basic reports to support the wider team with process improvement and procurement efficiency
- Identify opportunity for cost savings and process improvements
- Proven, practical experience within a purchasing, procurement or supply chain capacity
- Previous Telecoms industry experience (desirable)
- Commercial and contractual awareness (desirable)
- Familiar with procurement software or ERP systems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers
- Good data skills / analytical abilities and able to build reports from data
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Can work autonomously with minimal supervision but equally a team player with the ability to collaborate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Packages (Outlook/Word & Excel)
