Adecco Manchester are pleased to be working with a prestigious global manufacturing business based in Heywood to recruit for a Purchasing Administrator to join their business. The role is initially offered on a 6 month fixed term contract and is to begin as soon as possible
The business has presence in more than 50 countries, runs 11 production facilities in 8 countries and employs over 5,000 people around the world.
The Purchasing Assistant role is a vital position within the purchasing/production function; the primary objective being to assist Buyers through the provision of an effective administrative service.

Responsibilities
- To complete various orders for manufactured parts and equipment
- To maintain purchasing progress by effectively communicating locally and internationally, creating orders, comparison of prices and dealing with any issues
- To offer support to the purchasing department following through with vendors on shipments and deliveries by maintaining records and follow up files of purchases, shipments and related matters
- Delivering a range of administrative tasks to ensure orders are delivered on time liaising with local and international suppliers
Preferred Skills
- No purchasing experience is required for this role, we are happy to speak to strong general administrators
- Ability to organise & prioritise tasks IT Literate Good communication skill
- To be able to work in a team environment
- To be able to self motivate and work under pressure
