The Client
My client is a company that specialises in complete drainage services to corporate clients managing domestic and small commercial drainage failures. The company provides a quick and competitively priced response to their clients needs whether it be a simple blockage, a drain collapse or a burst water pipe. Due to recent expansion, they currently have an opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Officer to work from the clients Ringwood office.
The Role
To ensure that operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal, ethical and internal rules. You will also review employees work and provide advice on compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
- Draft and revise company policies
- Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
- Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk
- Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
- Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
- Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
- Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
- Compose full scale job reports for works carried out
- Audit works completed by engineers and ensure all works are meeting an internal checklist
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager or very similar role
- Experience in risk management
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards

- Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP is a plus
- Skilled on Microsoft Word, Excel & PDF documents
