What does a Quality Assurance Officer do at Hillingdon?

Join our team in LBH Quality Assurance for a captivating opportunity in the realm of social care.

We are seeking an individual with experience in both adults and children's social care sector.

The candidate must be someone who appreciates the importance of adhering to Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted). regulations.

As part of this team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the services we provide are compliant with essential standards.

Immerse yourself in a role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. As a member of our Quality Assurance Team, you'll be tasked with the essential duty of assessing and determining the suitability of various accommodations and resources commissioned by the Local Authority. The role is vital, ensuring that policies and procedures align with the needs and best interests of adults and children who are in receipt of care.

The core responsibilities will be to monitor and evaluate commissioned placements and resources. This means scrutinizing every detail, ensuring that service providers meet the stringent requirements established by the regulators

The role will be to carry out, planned visits, spot checks and action plan audits.

Ensuring both adults and children's needs are met in accordance with their care and support plans.

Collaboration with providers is key, as you'll offer practical support and expert advice to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, ultimately leading to improved outcomes for the residents of LBH.

You will actively support the development and production of qualitative and quantitative data that informs risk profiling, analysis, and service prioritization.

By providing internal feedback within the Council, you'll play an integral role in shaping commissioning strategies, service planning, and contract monitoring.

The role will involve providing guidance and advice on all quality-related matters. Recognising early indicators /risks and warning signs of concern will be a part of the daily routine, as it serves as a means of prevention.


About you

We are seeking an individual with a good understanding of Social Care for both Adults and Children's services.

Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to engage effectively with service users, stakeholders, Health colleagues, procurement teams, and the regulators from CQC and Ofsted.

Collaboration is essential to the role as you will work with providers, offering practical support and advice to ensure that they consistently deliver quality services and positive outcomes for our Service Users.
