Quality Management Lead - Civils And Surveying

The primary purposeof the Quality Management Lead, Surveyorroleis to provide survey Quality Assurance activities for the Sizewell C project:

• Carrying out Quality Assurance checks on all survey networks (Primary, Secondary, Local and Room) to agreed timescales in both the Main Construction Area and also the Temporary Construction Area
• Checking and monitoring the survey activities performed by the construction contractors to ensure adherence to the contracted quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Collaborating with the SZC both Civils and construction teams to validate the quantities submitted by the contractors and to provide technical support and advice. This will expand to Mechanical and Electrical as the works progress.

The Quality Management Lead, Surveyor is the single point of contact (SPOC) for all survey related elements associated with the supply chain. The Quality Management Lead, Surveyor will, on behalf of the Quality Delivery Manager, act as 'Intelligent Customer' in the capacity of ensuring that arrangements are in place, and effectively implemented by the supply chain, building on the lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. The Quality Management Lead, Surveyor will also support the Quality Delivery Manager by the provision of Quality Management expertise to meet the quality requirements. This is to ensure products and/or services are provided Right First Time (RFT) in line with the SZC Project Goals, and in support of RFT, ensure effective resolution of issues and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Typically graduate on civil/survey engineering / other vocational qualification or equivalent experience in a related discipline such as a civil works programme in rail, oil and gas, chemicals or EPC environment
• Membership of a Professional Institute leading to Chartered Status is an advantage
• Demonstrable strong experience within construction industry and on site working experience; Experience on a nuclear site would be appreciated
• Good understanding of regulations in construction field
