Quality Manager
Our Client is a well known manufacturing company in Barnstaple.
They are looking for a Quality Manager , someone with quality Assurance experience or is a Senior QA Engineer looking to become a Quality Manager
Key functions of Quality Manager
Ongoing management of the IMS/Quality System in accordance with AS9100
Ensure third party accreditations and approvals are maintained (BSI, Nadcap etc)
Ensure customer Quality requirements are achieved
Effective management of the Quality Department resources
Effective motivation, training and development of Quality personnel
Training and developing personnel in problem solving and Quality related techniques and promoting a culture of teamwork
Promoting a Quality prevention and zero-defects culture.
Manage and report Non-conformances, Internal, suppliers and customer.
Report Quality performance trends to the Management team including major issues which could affect business performance
Engage in and promote Continuous Improvement activity/charters, assist with and implement the techniques / practices and perform any necessary training.
Realise internal customer requirements and develop Quality Department service initiatives
Current Role
Determine KPI's and ensure dissemination throughout the Company
Determine Quality improvement plans to ensure KPI objectives are achieved
Liaise with customers on a regular basis to understand and improve Company Quality performance and partnerships
In conjunction with Group Quality develop plans to develop and improve business performance, processes and personnel
In conjunction with the Site Management Team develop programmes to minimize waste and nonconformances to achieve KPI targets
Continually develop the Company Quality System and ensure the internal audit programme is maintained and adjusted to reflect the system requirements
Ensure all specified Quality standards are achieved throughout the Company
Liaise with and support all departments to achieve overall business objectives
Identify and promote flexibility throughout the department and arrange any training as necessary
Maintain discipline and health & safety to Company standards
Prioritise tasks and personal planning
Ensure the Quality team perform their roles and responsibilities as defined in their job descriptions
Escalate to Senior Management any issues that cannot be resolved
People Management Skills including supervising your team, motivation and engagement, communication, target setting, absence management, coaching and mentoring and performance management.
Qualifications: Engineering / Technical HND
Experience: 3-10 years' experience as a Senior QA Engineer or QA Manager
Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:45 - 16:45 & Friday 07:45 - 12:00 = 38¼ pw
Salary: £37,868
25 days holiday plus Bank Holiday
