Job Description
Butler Rose is currently supporting a manufacturer based in Plymouth, who are seeking an adept Quality Manager. This individual will join the business and assume the crucial role of overseeing quality and will be tasked with defining and establishing quality standards and procedures. Your responsibility includes ensuring that processes and manufactured goods not only meet but surpass rigorous regulatory and customer standards.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Evolve and refine quality operational procedures for compliance and excellence.
- Manage the interface with customers to ensure proactive fulfilment of requirements, assist in complaint resolution, and determine root causes for corrective actions.
- Analyse quality metrics and conduct managerial reviews to recommend operational action plans based on results.
- Lead and participate in internal audits of Business Management Systems, overseeing the schedule.
- Develop a Quality Assurance and Control framework to align with both tactical and strategic business goals.
- Ensure the Quality team supports supplier management for new and existing supply chains.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across multifunctional teams to enhance business performance measures.
- Advocate for root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Actively contribute to New Product Development efforts.
- Analyse and monitor issues related to material non-conformance.
- Provide support for NPD/NPI gate review activities.
- Manage calibrated equipment.
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Experience with co-ordinating multi-functional teams in delivering business objectives/initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches, and tools, including strategic management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results in Quality and continuous improvement areas.
- Mature Customer focused approach handling issues with urgency.
- Experience in implementing process improvements using structured problem solving methodologies.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential
Package
- Salary up to £55,000 + bonus
- Excellent benefits package including enhanced pension
- Early finish on Friday
- Monday to Friday site based role
