To provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive clerical support to the Imaging Department, in a general office setting.
Meet clients, relatives, and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting them with their queries
To deal competently and discreetly with queries either face to face or via telephone using appropriate protocols
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated Trust and the only provider of NHS acute care in Walsall, serving a population of 286,700, providing inpatient and outpatient services at the Manor Hospital as well as a wide range of services in the community. Walsall Manor houses the full range of district general hospital services under one roof. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and the continued upgrading of existing areas ensures the Trust now has a state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit, Neonatal Unit, Obstetric Theatre, and Integrated Assessment Unit facilities. Work is also well underway on its multi-million pound new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre which will house a new Emergency Department (including Children’s Emergency Department), co-located Paediatric Assessment Unit, Acute Medical Unit and Urgent Care Centre. This is scheduled for completion this year.

To deal with incoming and outgoing mail and ensuring incoming post is distributed and outgoing mail is taken to general office accordingly
To be competent in scanning in order to upload documents on to CRIS (Computerised Radiology Information System) and other office equipment
To maintain electronic client records using CRIS, updating client demographics where necessary
To keep reception/waiting areas tidy
To ensure mandatory training is up to date and appropriate to role
To be competent to cover all reception desks/duties as necessary
To carry out weekly reception tasks to ensure stationary is well stocked and escalate and stationary needs to line manager
To be competent in making telephone calls to ensure patients are aware of and are attending booked appointments
