My client based in Huntingdon are currently recruiting for a CQC Registered Manager for their Care and Support Department, you will play a crucial role in leading and ensuring the provision of high-quality care.
This position involves being the safeguarding lead, maintaining compliance with CQC standards, and fostering positive relationships with service users, stakeholders, and the wider community.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive, you will contribute to achieving strategic objectives while ensuring operational excellence in care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage client feedback reviews and care reviews to ensure service excellence and responsiveness to client needs.
Prepare and submit reports to funders and commissioners as required.
Liaise with social workers and other professionals as necessary to advocate for and meet the needs of service users.
Manage productive relationships with all external partners and stakeholders.
Supervise, conduct team meetings, and perform annual appraisals for direct reports.
Address HR matters and oversee staff development and training.
Ensure staff performance aligns with policies, regulatory standards, and client-centred targets.
Develop, update, and review policies and procedures relevant to the team.
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and remain informed about sector changes.
Manage the department's budget and resources efficiently.
Contribute to and manage the Quarterly Programme to communicate important updates and achievements.
Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings monthly, representing and advocating for service user needs, and ensuring follow-up on targets set in a client-centred manner.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
CQC Registration
Relevant qualification in Health, Social Care, or Personal Care
5 GCSEs at grade C or above
Minimum 1 year of management experience, with a preference for a management qualification
Knowledge of UK health and social care legislation
Experience in safeguarding, budget management, and report writing
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) preferred but not essential
Experience in a management role within social care
Familiarity with CQC standards and processes
Proven multitasking ability and experience in handling complex projects
Valid Driving Licence
Requirements:
Current CQC registration
Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Huntingdon
Previous experience in care provision and supervisory roles essential.
