We are delighted to be working with an exceptional care service provider holding 25yrs of supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own homes. The company have a strong board of directors with significant industry experience and are currently recruiting a Registered Manager.
As a Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility for the Domiciliary Care & Supported Living services delivered by the Company. This will include overseeing the day to day running of the service delivery and all Service User and staff related issues.
The role will be office based in Peterborough although as a Registered Manager you will be expected to visit services located within Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
Principal Responsibilities
To provide and maintain a high quality of care and support for all Service Users which meets the needs identified by Assessments and Support Plans.
To support the development and growth of services delivered by the Company.
To ensure that the aims and objectives of the company are implemented and maintained within the Company.
Service User Care and Development
Ensure that each Service User has a personal Support Plan that is based on assessment information and describes the support the company is contracted to provide.
Ensure that Support Plans have been written with the involvement of Service Users and describe their preferred way of receiving their support.
Ensure that support is delivered in a person centred way and that regular reviews are held to review the appropriateness of support delivery and Service User satisfaction.
Ensure there is a high quality of personal health and hygiene for Service Users. This will include communicating and liaising with GPs and other professionals as appropriate.
Ensure the availability of appropriate equipment to support the safe delivery of support to meet the Service User’s needs.
Ensure that records evidence the delivery of the contracted support and show the development for each Service User.
Ensure effective communication with any other agencies involved with the Service User.
Staffing
Ensure that staff rosters are prepared in advance and managed in a fair and achievable manner.
Ensure there are appropriate levels of staff to deliver on all care packages at all times.
Ensure the provision of effective Line Management support for all Company staff.
Arrange staff development programmes within the Company and attend external courses as appropriate.
Co-ordinate the recruitment, development and retention of staff.
Business Development
Be responsible for co-ordinating the assessment and preparation of proposals for all new referrals.
Develop relationships with local social care teams and other professionals engaged in the commissioning of care Services.
Co-ordinate the completion of any tender applications as required.
Financial
Be responsible for the assessment and preparation of costs for all new referrals.
Liaise with the Finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and monitoring of support costs.
Monitor the changing needs of individuals to ensure that the service being delivered matches the funding being received.
Administration
Prepare reports for the Directors as required.
Attend meetings with the Directors as required.
Ensure that all Service User and company documentation is maintained in a legible condition and are stored securely and confidentially.
Ensure that all documents and records meet legislative and company requirements.
Implement the Policies and Procedures of the Agency and ensure that all staff are conversant with these Policies.
