Reed are seeking a Registered Managerto take operational responsibility for a nine-bedroom residential care home in Burwell, Cambridgeshire for adults with complex learning disabilities. This is a pivotal role, registered with the Care Quality Commission, requiring leadership, line management, and a commitment to driving forward the mission and values of the service. The ideal candidate will be a true ambassador of adult social care, passionate about delivering the highest quality of care.
- Annual Salary: £40,000-£50,000

- Establish and maintain a culture of excellence across the service, ensuring safety and enabling residents to fulfil their potential.
- Manage people processes to a high standard, including support, supervision, and staff development.
- Lead a team to deliver care at an “Outstanding” level, focusing on care quality, occupancy, and financial targets.
- Maintain and develop positive relationships with commissioners, families, and other external stakeholders.
- Lead and manage change effectively within the service.
- Ensure compliance with CQC requirements and company policies.
- Take financial accountability for the service, including budgetary control and reporting on profit and loss variances.
- Proactively work with commissioning teams for new referrals and maintain high levels of occupancy.
- Complete KPI audits, quality standards reporting, and develop quality improvement plans.
- Be on call for the service and engage in personal development and training.
- Minimum of 3 years senior management experience in social care.
- Currently managing a CQC Rated “Good” or "Outstanding" care service.
- Proven ability to develop individuals and teams.
- Experience in financial management, planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of safeguarding systems and HR processes.
- Experience in governance systems, including audits and medication management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- RM level 4, Diploma 5 in leadership and management, or a graduate in management or social care.
- Proficient in IT including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Full driving licence.
