Opportunities are available for experienced Registered Oncology Nurses with the distinguished Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB). Duties will involve being the primary care person for patients within the unit and will include care planning, chemotherapy administration, biotherapy and immunotherapy management and monitoring of the patients during their treatment.
BHB serves a population of approximately 65,000 people as well as the islands many visitors, delivering a large range of services through their large General Hospital, Wellness Institute and Urgent Care Centre. With over 2000 staff providing an amazing service this stunning facility will provide successful applicants with excellent opportunities both from a career and a personal perspective.
To be considered for the role, the following requirements apply:
- Registered Nurse at Degree/Diploma level
- Current nursing registration (NMBI/NMC or similar)
- Minimum of two years current post-graduate experience as an Oncology Nurse
- Excellent intravenous skills including starting, maintaining, and troubleshooting common intravenous access
- Experience with implanted ports and administering Chemotherapy
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate
