Rent & Service Charge Accountant required to join a dynamic and well established not for profit organisation based in Greater Manchester. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Rent & Service Charge Accountant to join their finance function on a full-time, temporary basis.
Key responsibilities of the Rent & Service Charge Accountant
- Manage the rent review process (annual increase of Rent and Service Charges)
- Prepare for review the annual rent increase notifications ensuring that all rents and Service Charge increases are accurately notified to all residential and garage customers and delivered within statutory requirements and time frames.
- Responsible for the accurate calculation, construction and issue of all Service Charges for leaseholder's including both annual revenue charges and major works charges for all relevant properties, working with other departments to achieve this.
- To proactively ensure that the systems and databases used for the calculation of rents and Service Charges is up to date, accurate and contains all the relevant information.
Required skills and experience of the Rent & Service Charge Accountant
- QBE or CCAB qualified
- Skilled with excel and data analysis, provide information to finance director and customers
- Checking relet rents (target rent calculation)
- Knowledge of different types of rent (SR, IMR, AR)
- Extensive knowledge Rent & Service Charge
