Overview
To take the lead as Residential Support Worker in the provision of support, to act as key worker where appropriate and to take personal responsibility for dealing with emergency or complex situations that may arise. To provide high quality support to people based upon their needs and wishes using a person centred approach.

About the services
We currently have 12 Young People aged from 15 to 24 years of age across 4 residential homes located in the Walsall and Birmingham area. We are professionals and one of the leading providers in the West Midlands specialising in transitional care and preventing hospital admissions. The types of Service Users we provide care and support for include; Autism, Learning difficulties, Self-harm, Challenging behaviour and more. Duties
- To act as a key worker for individual people where appropriate.
- To support in dealing with emergency or complex situations that may arise.
- To support people in undertaking activities or development in their own home and in the community, including employment, education, outdoor activities and other opportunities.
- To maintain records as required relating to people's day to day activities.
- To liaise with external parties, carers and parents as required.
- To work as a team with other Support Workers to give the best possible care to the Young People.
- To support your team for the effective and efficient running of shifts.
- To closely monitor and observe Young People to keep them safe.
- To ensure the homes safety and quality of care is maintained to a high standard.
