We are excited to let you know that we are opening two brand-new provision in Nottinghamshire to provide 24/7 support to young people aged 16-18 years old. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality support and therefore we are looking for reliable committed and experienced Residential Support staff to join our team.

- are committed, reliable, passionate and ambitious about working with young people.
- can implement innovative approaches to promote independence, choice, and person-centred care
- have a minimum 2 years experienced in providing support to young people with complex needs,
- are working towards or hold a Level 3 qualification in working with children and safeguarding
- are able to successfully complete an enhanced DBS screen and can complete a full application form.

Duties:
- 12 hour shift patterns includes day, nights and weekend shifts
- Ensure positive professional relationships are maintained with young people, families, and other professionals
- Ensure young people’s confidentiality is always maintained
- Take personal responsibility for learning about each young person and the way their childhood experiences affect them, ‘listening’ to the individual and reflecting on own practice to continuously develop their own knowledge and skills
- Support children through their journey in care into independence
- Support young people in their daily activities, such as household chores, shopping, and appointments
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social and recreational activities·
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual's physical or mental health condition
- Maintain accurate professional recording on the progress made by the young person, or concerns raised, on their working files/plans, using these effectively and professionally to inform practice daily
- Reporting to managers any concerns regarding the young people’s welfare including health and safety issues in the home
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a children's Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of trauma informed, relationship based and person-centered care principles and practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Experience of housing, benefits, education or employment pathways
- Working Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
