Retrofit Project Officer

Our client based in East Sussex is currently recruiting for a Project Officer to join Retrofit team as soon as possible.

This is a full time, temporary position for approx 6 months and the ideal candidate will have knowledge in Retrofit projects and experience working in a housing environment.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the provision of an efficient investment delivery service for the specified projects
within function area (Capital Works/Access Systems/Cyclical Decs) to the organisations stock.

Responsibilities:

• To ensure contracts and works are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner to agreed quality standards, value for money, statutory and regulatory legislation, health & safety compliance, ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction.
• Effectively manage and supervise contractors/consultant to successfully deliver projects on time, budget and in accordance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Undertake a range of property surveys, prepare specifications and schedule of works for tender when required.

Requirements:

• Valid/Relevant CSCS card or work to obtain one.
• Knowledge of housing construction, component replacement and budget control and management.
• Knowledge/awareness of various industry standard forms of contracts (TAC/JCT/TPC etc.) and schedule of rates.
• Knowledge of contract management, relating to capital and cyclical works contracts and projects with the ability to: review and agree specifications, manage programme and cashflow projections and make adjustment to align with budgets. Assess site set up and access issues and provide customer focused resolutions.
• Knowledge or experience with managing the capital works process from scheme inception to project completion ensuring that compliance processes are followed and can demonstrate excellent awareness of costs, value for money and health & safety risks.
